Why is our cause important?
Ethics
Using animals in labs is ethically wrong because sentient creatures like beagles, rabbits, and rodents experience real pain, fear, and trauma. They are kept in isolation and denied their natural lives, making it a major violation of animal welfare to harm living beings who cannot consent.
Animal testing is scientifically flawed because humans and animals have completely different genetics, immune systems, and biology. ~92% of drugs that succeed in animal trials fail when tested on humans, meaning animal models can actually delay medical breakthroughs by providing inaccurate data.*

Animal testing alternatives simplified

Organ-on-a-chip
Microchips lined with human cells that mimic the structure and function of human organs, allowing researchers to study disease and test drugs without animals.

Computer Modeling
Sophisticated mathematical models and computer simulations that predict how the human body will respond to new medicines with high accuracy.

In Vitro Testing
The use of human cell and tissue cultures to study biological processes and test the safety of chemicals and drugs outside of a living organism.
Community (Coming soon)

We believe change starts within our communities. Our engagement initiatives connect people with our advocacy by hosting volunteer events, fundraisers, webinars, presentations and more.

GET INVOLVED TODAY!
Join our community of passionate advocates and contribute to the fight against the usage of animals in medical research. Signing up to become a member means you get volunteer opportunities first.
Additionally, as a member you can email [nari4animals@gmail.com] and request to be an outreach expert for your area. This means spreading information about NARI and helping us gain more visibility. (Mention your name and city in the email.)
